A close lightning strike can cause a power surge, a sudden, powerful increase in voltage that can damage or destroy household appliances and electronic equipment and it usually enters a home through the wiring, cable, antenna and/or telephone lines. By choosing the shock absorber service, you will be adding a greater level of protection to your appliances.

The cost is only $6.49 per month for the meter-base protector, which includes up to $10,000 connected equipment warranty for your electromechanical devices (refrigerators, freezers, compressors, etc.). This price does not include tax. The service includes free specialized ground testing for your home and professional installation of the meter base protector. An added bonus is that there are no contracts or installation fees.

*Shock Absorber cannot prevent direct lightning strikes. Induced surges can originate from within a home resulting from close proximity ground strikes. Metallic plumbing, wires, running to deep well pumps, outdoor lights and outbuildings can provide avenues for surges to enter the home. In addition, we recommend quality indoor surge protectors properly installed on all electronic equipment.
