Smart energy choices make a home more comfortable and power bills more afordable. That's why EMEPA offers several services through its ECLIPS program to help members make their existing homes more energy efficient.

HEAT PUMPS

Mississippi Electric Power Association will pay you to put an energy-efficient heat pump in your existing home if you are replacing a central air conditioning system gas heat or a central electric furnace.

The heat pump's SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) must be 14 or higher.

For a high efficiency, air-to-air, duel-fuel heat pump, we will give you a rebate of $50 per ton. For a high efficiency, ground loop heat pump, the rebate is $125 per ton. As an extra bonus, we will give you a $100 installation allowance for your existing home.

WATER HEATERS

EMEPA will give you a FREE quick recovery 40 or 50 gallon energy efficient water heater if you are replacing an existing gas water heater. As an added bonus, we will give you $75 towards installation.
