East MS Connect subscribers could be eligible for assistance from the Federal Lifeline Assistance Program.
Lifeline Assistance Program
Through the Federal Lifeline Assistance Program, East MS Connect subscribers may apply for a monthly credit of up to $9.25 for subscribers with internet service or internet/phone packages. Those with phone service can receive a credit of up to $5.25 a month.
Ways You May Qualify
- Income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guideline; or
- Participation in one of these programs:
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
- Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefits; or
- Qualify through your child or dependent who is a participant in one of the programs listed above.

Once approved for the Lifeline benefit, email your approval ID, subscriber account name, residential service address, date of birth, subscriber telephone number, and East MS Connect account number to our East MS Connect Lifeline email box.
Lifeline is a service offered as part of a government assistance program and is available only to eligible consumers who qualify through their participation in other government programs or through income. It is a non-transferable service and limited to one benefit per household. East MS Connect is a subsidiary of East Mississippi Electric Power Association.
