East Mississippi Connect was honored as the Kemper County Industry of the Year at the Kemper County Economic Development Authority’s annual banquet in November. This award recognizes the hard work and dedication of our team in expanding high-speed fiber internet throughout the county.
This recognition is in thanks to all of you, our employees, whose efforts make connecting communities possible. From planning and construction to member support and technical services, every role plays an important part in bringing reliable internet service to areas that previously had little or no connectivity.
Thanks to your work, EMC now serves more than 16,000 subscribers across east Mississippi. We are also expanding off-system in three additional areas in Lauderdale, Clarke and Kemper counties, bringing the benefits of fiber internet to even more homes and businesses. These expansions improve daily life, support education, enable local businesses to grow and strengthen the region’s infrastructure for the future.
